Back pain
Back pain may be caused by a range of conditions affecting muscles, tendons, ligaments, discs, nerves or other soft tissues and joints. Most back pain may be due to a range of factors, such as poor posture, lifting awkwardly, repetitive activity, age related factors or trauma (such as whiplash). Referred arm or leg pain (such as sciatica) and some headaches may be of spinal origin and therefore respond to physiotherapy management.
How Physio2go® can help
Our physiotherapists are highly skilled in the assessment and treatment of neck and back pain. It is important for the physiotherapist to perform a thorough assessment of your condition. This will include questions relating to your condition, alongside a thorough physical examination. Once a working diagnosis has been established a treatment programme can begin.
This could include:
- Manual therapy
- Specific exercises
- Postural / ergonomic advice
- Electrotherapy
- Pain management advice
- Preventative advice
- Acupuncture
