Jennie Weekes MCSP
Jennie qualified from Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham in 1971 and has over thirty years experience in the NHS. Jennie has also worked in Zambia for five years in the late 1970s for both a large mining company and an International Company Clinic.
Jennie has spent the last fifteen years specialising in Elderly Care and Rehabilitation. She has also spent time in Intermediate Care rehabilitating patients following acute hospital admissions for a variety of conditions including major surgery; neurological conditions including strokes; Parkinson's Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. This has included both domiciliary positions and hospital based appointments.
Jennie believes that patients really benefit from treatment in their own homes where an exercise programme specially tailored to their functional needs in their own unique home setting is of maximum benefit.
Jennie is also a member of AGILE – a clinical interest group of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy for therapists working with older people.
